Charge D’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of B&H in Tokyo Fuad Dzidic Nominated for Ambassador of Peace in Tokyo

On November 6th, 2009, at the 7th Diplomatic Peace Forum, Charge D’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of B&H in Tokyo Fuad Dzidic was nominated for “Ambassador of Peace” for 2009, along with representatives of three other embassies. This Forum is traditionally organized in Tokyo by NGO “Universal Peace Federation of Japan” (UPFJ), which has consultative status in the UN Economic and Social Council.

The nomination ceremony was attended by a great number of guests from the diplomatic corps, Japanese Parliament members, as well as guests from political and social circles.

While explaining reasons for the nomination, UPFJ Secretary General Seiichi Kikuya, who nominated our diplomat to be included in the global network of Ambassadors of Peace in Tokyo, stated that this nomination serves as encouragement for other diplomats accredited in Tokyo to continue making active contributions to strengthening mutual trust and efficient and active dialogue between members of different cultures, religions and nationalities.
