Minister-Counselor in the B&H Embassy in Berlin Amer Kapetanovic Meets with Off Theater-Festival Director Knut Geissler

On September 9th, 2009, Minister-Counselor in the Embassy of B&H in Berlin Amer Kapetanovic met with Knut Geissler, the director of the Off Theater-Festival from Leipzig. The topic of their discussion were details regarding the program of the Week of B&H Culture which will be organized from October 3rd to October 10th, 2009 by the Off Theater-Festival in cooperation with the “LOFFT” production company from Leipzig and Societeathstheater from Dresden.  

The festival program includes a guest appearance by the War Theater from Banja Luka and the Sarajevo War Theater, a concert by the Damir Imamovic Trio as well as other concerts and performances. The film portion of the program will include screenings of newer, award-winning works of the B&H film industry: “Grbavica”, “Fuse” and “Summer in the Golden Valley” as well as short documentaries produced by “Refresh” from Sarajevo.

The sponsors of this exceptionally well organized festival are former High Representative in B&H Christian Schwarz-Schiling, the Goethe Institute, and the Embassy of B&H in Berlin, while Honorary Consul of B&H in Leipzig Mr. Michael Weichart and the Heinrich Boell Foundation also gave their support in organizing this event. Several thousand visitors from Dresden and Leipzig are expected to attend the festival.
