Ambassador of B&H to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic Attends the Seminar on Financing Enterprise Projects with Development Dimension in Prague
Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic held an introductory speech at the Seminar on Financing Enterprise Projects with Development Dimension which was held on October 9th 2009 in Prague. The Seminar was organized by the Association of Czech Businessmen, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
During the Seminar, Visegrad Group countries (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic) and France elaborated their experiences regarding private investments by their businessmen through government assistance in developing countries.
Ambassador Orlic emphasized that B&H does not need humanitarian aid and invited representatives of the private sectors from these countries to invest in B&H, first and foremost for their personal benefit, stating that state support will eliminate risks in such investments. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the threshold of NATO membership, that it is approaching the EU and that reforms which guarantee the efficient functioning of the country are becoming more serious. Our country has resources which make it very competitive in various industrial branches, both on the European market and in joint operations in third markets.
“Now is the chance to make good business in B&H”, concluded Ambassador Orlic and invited businessmen to get more acquainted with the concrete programs that are offered and needed in B&H.
Among other participants, representatives of the European Development Finance Institution DFI, CORVINUS from Hungary, PROPARCO from France, ADA from Austria, and SARIO from Slovakia attended the Seminar.
The host of the Seminar was Jan Hamacek, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament’s House of Representatives.
