Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Thailand Resident in Kuala Lumpur Ensar Eminovic Meets with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Abhist Vejjajiva, Thai Businessmen and Representatives of Thai Halal Industry
On August 11th, 2009, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Thailand resident in Kuala Lumpur Ensar Eminovic met with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Abhist Vejjajiva.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged their views on political situation in BiH and Thailand and possibilities for improving bilateral relations between the two countries. On this occasion, Ambassador Eminovic conveyed greetings to Prime Minister Vejjajiva from Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prime Minister Vejjajiva emphasized the need to sign certain agreements aimed at improving cooperation between the two countries, particularly underlining the need to enhance economic cooperation. He also pointed out that it is necessary to intensify cooperation in the field of halal industry, in which Thailand is very interested. In addition, he expressed Thailand’s interest in establishing cooperation with BiH in the field of education, particularly in the sphere of religious studies.
During his visit to Thailand, Ambassador Eminovic also visited “Berli Jucker” company and met with its executive deputy director Peter Romhild who stated that “Berli Jucker” is interested in participating in the Global Business Forum Malaysia – BiH which will be held in November of this year in Malaysia and which is aimed at considering possibilities for business cooperation with BiH companies that are members of food and tourist industry.
In addition, Ambassador Eminovic met with Director of the Halal Science Center for Products and Services of the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok Winai Dahlan. Mr. Dahlan stated that he intends to visit BiH in order to consider establishing business cooperation in the field of halal industry and offered to start educational cooperation between the Center and scientists from BiH.
