Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Munich Veljko Obrenovic in Inaugural Visit to the Bavarian State Chancellery in Munich
On September 14th, 2009, Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Munich Veljko Obrenovic was received in his inaugural visit to the Bavarian State Chancellery in Munich. There he met with Chief of Protocol Mr. Alex Bartelt.
After welcoming him, Mr. Bartelt provided Consul General Obrenovic with information about the organization of the Bavarian Government, the State Chancellery, state ministries, and the Bavarian Parliament as well as the structure and responsibilities of other important Bavarian institutions and associations. In particular, the two officials spoke about the activities of the consular corps in Bavaria, which currently consists of 33 consulates general, 4 consulates, and 75 honorary consulates. Pointing out the good cooperation between the State Chancellery and the B&H Consulate General in Munich, Chief of Protocol Bartelt expressed his full support for continued cooperation and its advancement in all areas and promised that the State Chancellery will provide any assistance necessary in the future activities of the B&H CG in Munich.
Consul General Obrenovic thanked Mr. Bartelt for the warm reception and exequatur extended to him and stressed that B&H is open to all forms of cooperation with Bavaria. He particularly emphasized that the support of the Federal Republic of Germany and Bavaria is very helpful to our country as it makes its way towards EU membership, Euro-Atlantic integration, and the Schengen White List.
