Consul General of BiH in Chicago Eldin Kajevic Holds a Lecture on the Topic “BiH on the Path to the EU”

On November 13th, 2009, Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Chicago Eldin Kajevic held a lecture as a guest of the International Club Chicago on the topic “BiH on the Path to the EU”. The club brings together Chicago’s intellectuals from various segments of society – lawyers, economic experts, and members of NGOs. 

In a one-hour discussion following Consul General Kajevic’s presentation, his hosts inquired about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s current set-up, our country’s efforts to join the EU, and economic, tourism and cultural events in BiH. They also asked questions about the construction of the Nabucco, Ionic-Adriatic and South Stream gas pipelines as well as BiH’s overall energy strategy for the 21st century.

Those in attendance were informed about insurance for potential American investors which guarantees safe investment for up to 90% of their invested capital. They were also told about the state of infrastructure in the tourism industry, with special emphasis on the tourism potential of our Olympic mountains – Jahorina, Bjelasnica, and Igman.
