Consul General of B&H in Chicago Eldin Kajevic Holds a Lecture in the International Press Club

On November 18th, 2009, at the invitation of the International Press Club of Chicago, Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Chicago Eldin Kajevic held a lecture about the challenges and perspectives of the B&H’s integration into  the EU. The International Press Club of Chicago brings together representatives of the media and friends of the club and has more than 90 members.

After the lecture, a one-hour discussion followed during which those present asked questions about the current political, security and economic circumstances in the country. Having in mind that a certain number of those present had a chance to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, the focus of the discussion was placed on the reform process and internal consolidation of B&H as necessary conditions for joining the EU. In terms of regional relations, those in attendance inquired about our country’s strategy regarding the construction of planned pipelines through Southeast Europe.
