Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of the Czech Republic Miloslav Vlcek Receives Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic in his Farewell Visit
On November 20th, 2009, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of the Czech Republic Miloslav Vlcek received Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic in the latter’s farewell visit.
During a friendly and open conversation, the officials stated that cooperation between the two countries is very successful at all levels and that overall relations are very friendly and without open issues.
Ambassador Orlic emphasized that the fact that the Czech Republic signed the Lisbon Treaty created additional optimism for the Western Balkans countries in their European aspirations. He added that B&H is firmly committed to joining NATO and EU.
Ambassador Orlic stated that he expects the Czech Republic to support visa liberalization for B&H and expressed appreciation for support it extended to all B&H’s foreign policy proposals and initiatives during last four years.
Mr. Vlcek underlined Ambassador Orlic’s great contribution, as the first resident Ambassador of B&H in Prague, to the development of friendship and understanding between the two countries, adding that the bar has been raised and that his successor’s work will be facilitated but also demanding in terms of maintaining intensity of communication which was very successful. He also pointed out that the two countries have all prerequisites to develop cooperation even more in all fields, particularly economy.
