Ambassador of B&H to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Miranda Sidran-Kamisalic Opens New Premises of the BH Business Club (BHBC)
On November 21st, 2009, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Miranda Sidran-Kamisalic officially opened the new premises of the BH Business Club in Roosendaal. The BHBC is a business association which brings together B&H entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The main goals of this association are to strengthen ties between B&H and Holland and to assist businessmen interested in investing in B&H.
In her address, Ambassador Sidran-Kamisalic expressed the hope that BHBC will contribute to creating stronger economic ties between B&H citizens abroad and their homeland and also to their more active involvement in the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of B&H Safet Halilovic also attended the opening ceremony. In his address, Minister Halilovic among other things, spoke to those present about the importance of participating in elections, bearing in mind that, unfortunately, the turnout of voters abroad is poor.
Edhem Emre and Ulviye Tekeli, Managers of the Foundation for Integration of Immigrants in Holland (STBA), Gultekin Cetiner, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, and Jan Jongbloed, Director of the Foundation Intent, also addressed those present. Mr. Jongbloed presented training and assistance program for B&H diaspora members willing to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program will be implemented in cooperation with the BHBC.
