Bosnia and Herzegovina Signs a Joint Communique on Establishing Diplomatic Relations with the Republic of Nicaragua

On October 22nd, 2009, Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations Ambassador Ivan Barbalic and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Nicaragua to the UN Maria Rubiales de Chamorro signed the Joint Communique on establishing diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Nicaragua. The signing ceremony was held in the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Nicaragua to the UN in New York.  

Ambassador Barbalic and Ambassador De Chamorro exchanged views on the possibilities for improving and deepening cooperation between the two countries at bilateral level, particularly in economic, cultural, and tourism fields and expressed the hope that these two countries will have more successful and better cooperation in the future.

Ambassador De Chamorro congratulated Bosnia and Herzegovina on becoming a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
