Consul General of BiH in Chicago Eldin Kajevic at a BiH National Day Celebration

Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Chicago Eldin Kajevic attended a BiH National Day celebration organized on November 22nd, 2009 in Northbrook by the Bosnian-American Cultural Association.

After extending his congratulations for National Day to those present, Consul General Kajevic recalled the importance of November 25th, 1943 when, in the city of Mrkonjic Grad, our country regained its statehood 480 years after the fall of the medieval kingdom of Bosnia.

In the second portion of the program, members of the women’s section of the Bosnian-American Culture Association presented the English translation of a book by Mirsad Sinanovic entitled „Zrtvovanje vuku“. They financed this project on their own and this was the first time that the book was presented in North America.
