On the occasion of the recent tragic plane crash in Spain Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj extended condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain Miguel Angel Moratino

On the occasion of tragic plane crash at Madrid`s Barajas airport on August 20th 2008, which took away the lives of 153 persons, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Alkalaj sent a message of condolence on August 21st 2008 to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain Miguel Moratinos.

A Spanish passenger jet with 172 passengers and eight crew members crashed at terminal 4 at Madrid`s Barajas airport on August 20th, shortly after trying to take off. According to data of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Madrid, there were no BIH national in the plane.

On the occasion of this tragic event, with the biggest death toll since the one that took place in 1983 in Spain, the Kingdom of Spain declared three days national mourning.
