Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Ana Trišić-Babić received non- resident Australian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Peter Shannon seated in Vienna on the occasion of visit of the delegation of the Australian Parliament  

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Ana Trišić-Babić met on August 27th 2008 with non-resident Ambassador of Australia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Peter Shannon seated in Vienna, on the occasion of the upcoming visit of the delegation of Australian Parliament to BIH Parliament. Announced visit of the members of Australian Parliament planned to take place in October this year has been estimated as indicator of Australian interest in and support to our country.

Deputy Minister Trišić-Babić familiarized Ambassador Shannon with reform processes on-going in BIH, recent signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU, process of visa regime liberalization, as well as general Euro-Atlantic orientation of our country. Ambassador Shannon expressed support of Australia to the European orientation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bilateral relations were assessed as good and friendly. However, it was estimated that cooperation should be improved in all spheres, namely economy and culture. The two expressed interest in organizing bilateral meetings at all levels.
