Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ana Trisic-Babic Attends the Second Regional Conference of Ministers for European Affairs of the Countries Included in the Stabilization and Association Process
On November 27th, 2009, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ana Trisic-Babic participated in the second Regional Conference of Ministers for European Affairs of the Countries Included in the Stabilization and Association Process, held in Skopje.
Deputy Minister Trisic-Babic underlined that there is no alternative for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path and that further improving regional cooperation and good neighborly relations is an important prerequisite for a successful process of European integration.
She stated that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has fulfilled Roadmap conditions for visa liberalization with the European Union and that a positive decision from European institutions would create necessary optimism and serve as an impetus for successful continuation of reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mrs. Trisic-Babic pointed out that it is high time for B&H politicians to take responsibility and find a solution for fulfilling 5 objectives and 2 conditions through internal agreements, dialogue, and consensus, which would lead to closing down the Office of High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its transformation in the Office of the EU Special Representative in B&H.
To conclude her address, Deputy Minister Trisic-Babic emphasized that the European idea would be strengthened through improving the European perspective of the region, visa liberalization, and better possibilities for education and research for young generations. This would also provide clear political support to development of the Western Balkans countries and their integration into the EU. |
