Mission of B&H to NATO Organizes a Reception to Mark B&H Armed Forces Day and Election of B&H as a Non-Permanent Member of the UN SC

On November 30th, 2009, the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO organized a reception in NATO Headquarters in Brussels to mark B&H Armed Forces Day and our country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2010-2011 term.

A great number of guests from NATO’s political and military institutions in addition to representatives of NATO Member States delegations and the Missions of Partnership for Peace Member States attended the reception at the invitation of the Head of the Mission Ambassador Nikola Radovanovic and Acting Military Representative of B&H to NATO Brigadier Brane Jankovic.

Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Admiral Di Paola commended previous successful defense reforms and participation of B&H Armed Forces in international peace support operations. He also expressed his hope that cooperation between NATO and B&H will continue on B&H’s path towards its full-fledged membership in this organization. During the reception, officials exchanged views on B&H’s perspectives for gaining MAP – Membership Action Plan – and great number of them expressed willingness to continue assisting B&H.
