Consulate General of BiH in Stuttgart Organizes Meeting of Representatives of Clubs and Associations of BiH Citizens

On December 4th, 2009, Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Stuttgart organized the meeting of representatives of clubs and associations of BiH`s citizens that are active at territory of German provinces Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland-Pfalz and Saarland.

In their addresses representatives of the associations and clubs of BiH`s citizens stated the need for greater and more intensive cooperation between BiH diaspora and authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as better cooperation between the associations. Establishing an umbrella organization of BiH diaspora was proposed for the three afore-mentioned German provinces as well as forming a database that would contain data about successful BiH citizens. One of the biggest problems that BiH citizens in these German provinces are facing with is inadequate regulation for organizing supplementary schools in native language.

The meeting was attended by more than 40 representatives of clubs and associations of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, activists in the field of culture and successful businessmen from Stuttgart, Weiblingen, Ulm, Calw, Heilbronn, Karlsdorf, Lenningen, Oberlenningen, Karlsruhe, Ludwigsburg, Sindelfingen and Mannheim. Ruzmira Tihic-Kadric, Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH and Desanka Delic, member of GB of the World Association of BiH Diaspora from Germany also attended the meeting. Beate Ditrich, Mayor of Wangen Municipality, welcomed the attendees.
