Ambassador of BiH to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic Pays a Farewell Visit to Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Kohout

On December 17th, 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Kohout received Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic Ivan Orlic in the latter's farewell visit.

Minister Kohout stated he was pleased with the high level of bilateral relations between these two exceptionally friendly countries and that there are no outstanding issues between them. He also said that the Czech Republic is willing to assist BiH in its Euro-Atlantic integration ambitions, adding that he believes BiH is on the right path but that political life as a whole is being reformed at a slower rate than the peoples and citizens of BiH expect and need it to be reformed.

The Czech diplomacy chief thanked the first resident Ambassador of BiH to the Czech Republic for his extraordinary contribution to improving understanding, economic relations, cultural cooperation, and overall inter-state relations between the Czech Republic and BiH.

Ambassador Orlic invited Minister Kohout to pay his planned visit to BiH as soon as possible. He asked the Czech Republic, as our friend, to continue to support BiH on its way to the EU and NATO, particularly in terms of liberalizing the visa regime for BiH citizens. This was received with understanding and support.
