Welcome to the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina!
I hope this page will provide you with useful, up to date information and that you will find all that is of interest for you, including the principles of BIH foreign policy, diplomatic and other activities of the Ministry, and diplomatic-consular missions, as well as other necessary and useful information, such as issuing of traveling documentation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or visas information. Also, the site has a list of useful links, which will help you to learn more about our economy, history, culture, tourism as well as how to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the Dayton Peace Agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina started the process of democratic transition. Today, the main goal of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign policy is to become a full member in the European Union and NATO. Access to the Partnership for Peace opened a new chapter in the contemporary history of BiH. It is a signal we should keep the path towards reforms that we took, security and democratic values that are continuously being implemented in BiH society.
I am convinced that efficient exchange of nformation will contribute to better relations with all citizens, as well as with people whose origin is in BiH. Our emigrants are and should act as even greater promoters of BiH development. They should contribute to attracting higher foreign investments to our country, which would, day by day, make it more stable and stronger, both economically and socially.
Using this page interactively will make it more useful, and information posted on it will witness the success of BiH diplomacy in the world and lead to the main goal – to become a full member in the European Union and NATO!
Therefore, enjoy using this page and feel free to use the Ask the Minister! link.
Sincerely,
Sven Alkalaj
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina
