Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Organizes a Reception to Mark the Upcoming Holidays

On December 22nd, 2009, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a reception in the BiH Armed Forces Hall in Sarajevo to mark the upcoming holidays.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj addressed members of the diplomatic corps and many distinguished representatives of political, business, public and cultural circles in BiH gathered at the event.

Extending his congratulations for the coming holidays, the Catholic and Orthodox Christmas and New Year, Minister Alkalaj recalled that BiH has made great steps forward in terms of foreign policy. This includes, first and foremost, our country’s election to non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council in the 2010-2011 term and our application for NATO’s Membership Action Plan.

Minister Alkalaj also said that he believes the coming year will be marked as the year in which the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will obtain a visa-free regime with the countries of the European Union.
