The MFA of B&H Calls for the Implementation of the Judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the “Finci and Sejdic v. B&H” Case

The European Court of Human Rights passed a verdict in “Finci and Sejdic v. B&H” case by which the Prosecution’s arguments were accepted. The MFA of B&H believes that the presence of laws which deny human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina has a negative effect on the image of our country in the world.

Therefore, the MFA of B&H calls on the relevant institutions in B&H to deliver new constitutional and legal arrangements which will be in accordance with the European Convention on Human rights and Fundamental Freedoms. This would serve as a concrete impetus for B&H’s efforts to harmonize its legislature with democratic European arrangements.

The implementation of the said decision would additionally strengthen pro-European democratic forces in B&H within the process of joining EU and NATO.
