Press Conference Held by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary Peter Balazs
Following their meeting on December 13th 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary Peter Balazs held a press conference in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H.
Minister Alkalaj expressed satisfaction with the visit by Hungarian chief of diplomacy to our country, adding that bilateral relations between B&H and Hungary are excellent without open issues, which can be confirmed by numerous exchanges of visits at all levels. He also expressed appreciation to Minister Balazs for Hungary’s support for B&H’s NATO MAP status at the recently held meeting of NATO, and the hope that B&H will soon fulfill that goal.
Minister Alkalaj underlined that Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that Hungary supports and will continue supporting B&H on its path to the Euro Atlantic integration. On this occasion, Minister Alkalaj pointed put that the procedure for concluding new bilateral agreements between these two countries, as well as improving the existing ones, particularly those related to investment, has been launched.
Minister Balazs expressed satisfaction with his visit to our country as well as Hungary’s willingness to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of reforms which are necessary for fulfilling B&H’s foreign policy goals. He added that Hungary fully supports efforts that our country is making in order to fulfill conditions for visa liberalization with the Schengen countries. On this occasion, Minister Balazs expressed the hope that the economic cooperation will continue, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, energy and transport.
